Robert Redford once said that cosmetic surgery, botox, fillers, etc. made people look “body-snatched” and it’s so true. The unique roadmap of their life was being erased, and what was left is a curated person. As you said, our faces are badges of having lived our lives - the joy and the pain - and if we deny that, what’s really left?
